Welcome to our eco-tour! Your safety is just as important to us as the cleanliness of our planet. Before we begin, please read these safety instructions carefully.
We don't go into the field without proper equipment. Before starting the cleanup, check that you have:
Never pick up waste with bare hands. They protect you from cuts, needles, and bacteria.
Forget flip-flops or sandals. You need closed-toe shoes with thick soles because of glass and sharp objects.
If cleaning near roads, a reflective vest is mandatory.
Not all waste belongs in a regular bag. Never touch or pick up:
If you see them, immediately report it to the coordinator. Special plastic boxes and tongs are used to collect them.
Canisters, old batteries, motor oils, or unknown liquids. They may be toxic or corrosive.
Do not touch them due to the risk of infection transmission.
Protect your back. If something is too heavy (e.g. a tire full of mud), lift it in pairs or call the coordinator.
Eco-tours often take us into the wild:
Watch out for slippery rocks, mud, steep slopes, or hidden holes under leaves.
If cleaning riverbanks or shores, don't go too close to deep or fast water. If you can't swim, let us know in advance.
Pozor na osie hniezda, hady alebo kliešte. Používajte repelent.
Práca vonku vie človeka rýchlo vyčerpať:
Pite pravidelne čistú vodu, aj keď necítite smäd. Dehydratácia prichádza plazivo.
Používajte opaľovací krém (SPF 30+), noste pokrývku hlavy a slnečné okuliare.
Ak sa cítite unavení, točí sa vám hlava alebo je vám nevoľno, okamžite si sadnite do tieňa a povedzte to niekomu.
Každý koordinátor je vybavený vlastnou lekárničkou prvej pomoci, aby mohol okamžite zasiahnuť pri akomkoľvek zranení. V prípade núdze sa neváhaj obrátiť na ktoréhokoľvek z nich.
Akékoľvek malé porezanie alebo škrabanec ihneď vydezinfikujte a prelepte.
Majte v telefóne uložené číslo na koordinátora a lokálne núdzové linky.
Ak máte pochybnosti, či je bezpečné nejaký odpad zdvihnúť, nezdvíhajte ho a poraďte sa s vedúcim skupiny.
